Pat and Sylvia Stewart

Job Responsibility: President/C.E.O.





Pat has served as the President/C.E.O. since July 2002. He is responsible for the leading and directing a staff of over 30 full and part-time staff in the USA and internationally. He has also filled the open position of office director of our largest office in Charlotte, NC. His goal is to expand MAI’s ministry by building a stronger organization that can support a continually increasing number of trained sports ministers deployed internationally.

Sylvia has served in various capacities such as assisting with the annual benefit banquet and caring for our staff in Charlotte.

Prior to joining the organization in 2002, Pat spent over twenty years in business holding various management positions primarily in the health insurance field. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Biola University, a Christian Liberal Arts college in southern California, and his Master of International Management degree from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Arizona.

How & why did you become a MAI Missionary?              

Sylvia and I were called by the MAI Board of Directors to fill the position of President in December 2000. I had felt that God had called me to this position 6 months before the Board actually approached me. After 20 years in business, I felt that God was leading me to use my experience in management to serve this ministry.
