MAI was started twenty-five years ago based on a vision of using the world’s most popular sport as a way to reach people for Christ. This was long before soccer became a popular sport in the United States. So the people who responded to that compelling vision were pioneers and had to be willing to take risks as they moved forward in faith to participate in building this ministry. This pursuit of God’s calling on their lives has involved leaving stable jobs, uprooting families to move across the country or internationally, and raising financial support. The need to respond to that calling and to endure those sacrifices is still true today. MAI is no longer a fledgling organization but there is a need for more people, compelled by that simple vision, to build on the foundation laid over the last twenty-five years and to become MAI’s future leaders. Will you consider whether you are called by God to be a part of that process? Your involvement can be as a staff member, participant in a short-term ministry project, volunteer or financial supporter. We have needs in all of those areas as described below:
