Players are needed for a men’s open tour to the Ukraine in partnership with AI staff member Tom Merchant and the Nadia Soccer Club.

Tom and Olena, along with their two daughters, are full-time staff members with Missionary Athletes International (MAI), the parent organization of the Charlotte Eagles.  MAI and the Eagles have been ministering in the Ukraine since 1991.  The Merchants are involved with their local church as well as the Nadia (Hope) Soccer Club outside the city of Rivne, which is two hours west of, Kiev, the capitol.  While there, this tour will help assist their ministry by the following means:

  • Staffing a camp for Nadia players and other local boys who have already come to know Christ as their Savior.
  • Playing matches, sharing testimonies, and fellowshipping with other clubs
  • Training, equiping and encouraging the Nadia coaches and other sports ministers to further use the game of soccer as a means to share the Gospel and disciple young believers.
  • Taking advantage of the World Cup to gather people, watch large presentations of the matches and share the good news of Jesus.
  • This will also prepare you to be a leader and have a positive impact on your own team
